I was looking at my sister's 1998 CL and it appears as though the door handles are exactly the same except her's are black. I would really like black handles.

I'm going to look int othe possibilities of changing these. Maybe I'll see if I can pick up some from the junkyard. I think our cars would also look really sweet if that chrome around the windows etc. was black.

 

I like the chrome.

But I do agree that body color trim would look phat on a black, silver or white car.

Would prolly look terrible on my red car though.

 

My door handles are body colored. I covered the chrome handles with a satin silver vinyl and they match perfectly. They give the car a much sportier look IMO.

 

Bleh, the chrome colored door handles are a big no-no on my list of crap with the CL... Body colored door handles would be so much nicer.

 

So why not simply paint them?!?

Body shop would only charge ya a couple bucks.

Soopa, of course we can paint them.... that's not my point. I'm not complaining that I can't, I'm complaining that I feel it would look better if they were body colored already, as well as the sideview mirrors.

 

Just as many people would complain that they werent chrome though.

Its better they come chrome... its easier to get them painted body color aftermarket then it is to get them chromed.

In a perfect world, Acura would offer it as an option as Mercedes does on the CLK... and BMW does on the X5.

But I think it adds a nice touch to a black or red car.
