BlueCLS6 & allmotor: Turbo question....

What are all the components of the turbo kit (please be brand/type specific)? What is the total cost? Does it come installed? Please give me some added info on this kit. Thanks!

The brand/type really depends on how much you want to spend!

For the kit on our car(s):

Garrett GT35R (ball-bearing)
Garrett 38mm Wastegate
Garrett BOV
Garrett High-Efficiency IC (custom end-tanks etc.)
Greddy E-Manage incl. harness (tuned with wideband O2)
Stainless-Steel Manifold (mating to Comptech upper manifold)
Stainless-Steel downpipe with flex-bend, O2 bungs etc.
Stainless-Steel Turbo Mount onto Tranny
Steel Intake/Intercooler Piping
Comptech FPR
Walbro in-tank High Pressure fuel pump
Guages/Guage-Pod etc. are upto you really...

If you were to drop off your car for 1-month or so... it should be around $7.5K installed.

Oh yeah... if you want a cheapo turbo etc. and no engine management, probably about $5.5K installed.

We spared no expense in making our kits, they are very thourough and so far (knock on wood) reliable. It is actually a TiAL wastegate and BOV, but on the new ones they will soon be badged Garrett. There are also many many other parts involved, including some custom fittings, etc. The brief parts list doesn't seem like much, but there was a lot involved. I am actually glad it is all over, that was a lot of work! Results = worth it!

allmotor,

do you have a picture of the car from the front, i'm curious about the downpipe and how it is plumbed under the engine. what is the diminsion of the downpipe and is there a clearance issue between it and the road?

Very clean install indeed!
