Blown Ballast

today i went to my a custom dealership today to install my hid bulbs and when he tried it on the right side he told me it wasnt working so he check the fuse and checked to see if it was fitted right and he came to the conclusion that the ballast was now blown because of the bulb now i dont even kno what to do i only have on light workin any suggestions

i think that's CL6's way of saying you need to search because this topic has been covered ENDLESSLY! so go on. search just type in ballast.

fyi, the bulb didn't "burn" the ballast. that would be a retarded design because bulbs always will go out sooner or later. lol, and solution is SIMPLE, replace the ballast not the bulb.

...yep! And perhaps screen your installers a bit better...

lol the mechanic was a idiot he said the ballast was blown so when i got home i checked for myself and i noticed that the idiot forgot to plug it back in so i just installed em myself easy job does anyone know why there not blueish

if the HID is OEM than it's not suppose to be blue. it's crystal white (4300K). if it's different and a higher temp. then
