blown away by a bimmer
it was a nice day for a cruise when i came up to a out of province bimmer, blowing thru our city it was debadged so at first i thought it was a older model 325 or 328.
when the light changed i got the jump on him shifting into second i was a car ahead of him at 60mph i was two cars ahead and all of a sudden i notice that he was reeling me in when i shifted into third he was at me bumper, at 80 he was even with me at 90 he had taken the lead by a half a car at 100 he was 3 car lenghts ahead when i had shut it down.
when he came neck to me i noticed this was no ordinary 325/328 it was a 850
man this car hauled.
any one race one of these
i looked the car up and these suckers have v-12 in them.

I've seen one on the road in my life, didn't even know about them till a few months ago when my buddy asked me about them. Still, I didn't think it looked like a 3 at all.

Happy CL-S Pilot
V-12 baby.... does 14s easy... HW Cruiser Missile.... the CLS shine in 3rd up 100-110MPH after which it hits the 4th wall...
But man I do not want to race beyond 100 MPH anyways...
BTW... 3 car lengths at 100 MPH is like 0.3sec difference .... so if your CLS does 14.5s he is doing 14.2s... Since you jumped him on the light... he might be just doing 14s.... a CLS-6 would be a good race with the V12 850!!!

Those 850's are no joke. Does anybody know if they still produce them? If not does anybody know where I could find one of them? I have never actually sat in one or anything. That would be pretty sweet.

No they dont make the 850s anymore, I think the largest they make is the new 745. By the way, they V12 in the 850 is the same engine that powers the fastest production car in the world- the McLaren F1.

You probably raced a 325 and since you have an auto you hit the magical wall at 110.

3 cars ahead at 100? That would make him close to 1.0 second faster in the 1/4mile. But for him to put 3 cars on you between 80-100 seems incredible. Your story is very questionable or he wasn't going full out between 0-80 and/or you had a major jump.

They look nothing like a 3 series or any bmw for that matter. You have to be an idiot not to realize the almost 2 foot wide tires in the back. Those things look mean!

I have run 12's before, not in the CL but in other cars. I've run low 13's in a truck but that means nothing.
As mentioned in another post, provide one Nissan you supported that is south of the Mason-Dixon line that has run 13's NA and the discussion will commence. Also, drive your own car, stop living on others, that is pathetic...

i had never seen one before and when i came up to at the light i figured it hd to be a older 3-series since that its the only line that makes the two door( the 6-series is much bigger) his tires were no bigger than what we have on our cl's. thats why when i was neck and neck i noticed that the front end was not of a 3-series.
if it werent for my buddy i would have thought it was a kit car like i said i never have seen one of these, i figured that why he had it debadge,
sorry for being an idoit,
maybe that the price for living in a small town.

since i been flamed so bad in this thread, i phoned the service counter at bmw in vancouver,
he was more than happy to talk about since he own one
the most common 850 is the i model, it has 300 horses and a auto will do 0-60 in about 7.2 seconds then after that they haul ass.
he said it would have been a close race to 75-85 if the car had low milage ,than the bmw would have pulled away.
the rare csi had the 375 horses and wee a street killer,
i would have seen his rear all the way to a 100.

i thing you need to go to the nissian site and play with your pals there, your hated here,
since your such a hater maybe one of the moderators can block you out. your 60+ posts have been nothing but negative attacks against the members here.
i don't drive a Cl, but my dad does and i think this is one of the best site's around ,there is a lot of good people here and there giving you the says alot about you
you need to remeber that your not involved in any of the races and things can happen. Also many people leave details out and get the point, so if someone gets a kill or gets killed
why don't you take part and be more positive and leave your nissan bullshit

This is the beast he is referring to. This is the 850CSI of 94'. I love this car. I plan on trying to get one by the end of this year if I save some freaking money. One hell of a car.

i'm sure the CSI would have been like racing the lightning,or a ws6
