Blower install finished

Let me start off by saying: read Scalberts Supercharger Myths on acworld if you havent already, my experience so far is similar.
Basically its a hell of alot quicker, and i estimating (along with allmotor) that it will run 13's No problem. The limit to how well it will do depends mostly on my launch. The speed is intoxicating as is the noise! It lets the car rev up faster and there is MUCH MORE usable torque, especially in the mid range around 4k rpm. THe car has a consistent pull to it that gets noticeably stronger at redline. Its about 3X a better feeling than headers, especially since it gives so much power down low as well.
I hope the next person giving a positive review on this will be Chaptorial!
I would recommend this kit to anyone, and if you are serious about it, let me know!

its a blast to drive, however the car feels completely different engine wise. there is no more vtec sounds, and the car whines louder as your rev up, creating an overall different experience than i am used to with the NA j32.
one thing that i like most is the fact that the car HAULS when you give it some gas over 3k rpm. its ridiculous how weak the midrange used to be, and the blower takes care of it. this also helps make the power curve imo smoother. my vtec would hit like an on off switch. it was like i was getting no power before 5k and then a burst. now its just an incremental build but with more noticeable power above 5k.
As scalbert/allmotor once said, youll feel like you just dropped a bigger engine under the hood.
the above is true for the most part, but i like the fact the car feels almost like NA under 2.5k. boost is not very powerful at that point, and when you are at those rpms the car has more than enough power for regular driving.

I have scars all over my hands from this!! But... it turned out well - except the belt for the HBP which was the wrong size.

Good race, BTW

Excellent review, very true about VTEC, it kinda disappears into the fine " Whine "

The first time I finished installing the belt and we took a ride, it was slipping... so I had to use a crowbar to get that sucker REAL tight!! You can 'hear' it slip when it does by fluctuations in pitch of the whine.

Although you can't hear it from outside... cuz I raced Power3dfx and I couldn't hear anything (neither of us have exhaust either).

The install on the auto is more of a pain with that throttle-limiting thingy you have to fit in there!

1st through 3rd we are pretty much dead even; he was very surprised. I am sure with my previous mods I'd have taken in by 2-3 car lengths NA. I'll run him again with the turbo just to see if it makes any difference
