Blitzsafe Hon/AUX DMXV1 Question?

Guys 2 questions

Will both the Hon/Aux DMX V.1 and the Dual one work on the car? This is for my archos 20 gig MP3 player.

Second, where exactly on the back of the radio is the hole that it needs to plug into ? I would like to install it without removing the radio so just want to get an idea of where exactly it is.

Thanks guys

The hole is on the left side of the stereo if your facing it, take off the trim around it and you can feel your way through it. I never knew there was a dual one... I just know the Hon/Aux DMX V.1 will work.

To remove the panels surrounding the stereo, pry the try up around the center console and then remove the screws, press the tabs to release it. If the 01's are like the 03's you may need to remove the panel under the steering column to remove the driver side panel for access to the aux port.

hope this helps.

It is a good thing I asked, i was looking for the hole on the right side (passenger side) cause i saw some pics showing that angle. Now i just need to go and get the part. Where did you get it from and how much did it run you?

Thanks again

69.95 plus 13.25 for 2nd day shipping, overnight is 30$

They did mess up my order the first time, but they immediately sent a new one once I called them, and they were extremely nice about it.

It is really easy to feel around for the hole. I had to remove both sides of the console in order to use both hands to insert the cable. I also placed the blitzsafe adapter on the right side as my XM modulator was on the left side.

So it is on the right side for anything but the 03's. Just pull off the sides to the center console and feel around, 20mins to find it and replace all the panels.

What's the cheapest place to get it from? The prices I've seen posted on this forum cover a pretty wide range.

you can also get the peripheral.. it's about 1/2 the price of the blitz and works the same.

on there website it says this about the Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.1 Auxiliary Input Converter

"This device is NOT compatible with any models that have the 6-disc in-dash CD changer or all 2003 or 2004 Accord. (2003-2004 Accord owners click HERE)"

so i don't see how this works with the CL that has the in dash 6 disc changer.

I've got the Peripheral and it occasionally hangs. I would go with the Blitzsafe.

I'm not sure at all, you may be able to check by seeing if the aux port exists by fingering the back of the radio.
