Blackhousing

Anyone here with a 01 or 02 CL with the new black housing? Just wondering on how it would look like if you had black housing with the roadlamps.... I am thinking about it but don't wanna waste my money... or maybe someone can photoshop a CL with blackhousing and roadlamps... thanks

let me coorect that...
BLACK HOUSING looks the best ona silver cl.

On a black one it kinda looked like an impala from the front..
My opinion only...jus go out and maybe u'll see the resemblance.

And i love the way the lines on the hood r so prominent on a silver CL with the black housing.

See... I think the 03's look best on any color but black...
They look best on silver IMO -- good looking contrast

I haven't seen the 03 reds yet, but from the pics I've seen, the black housing does make the car look agressive! Have you thought of painting the housing red to match the car? Also I do believe that if you do black...you will lose some light output.

peiqinglong is right, depending on what part of the housing you paint black, u will end up losing some light reflectivity. you may want to consider painting the border of the housing and not the rounded area. i do think you should consider painting them red possibly as well. it may look pretty good. i've got a white 2003 cl-s and i like mine with the black housing as well.

Rolie (Aztecrol) was considering doing his blue...it sounds nice in idea. But also consider this, the black housing isn't painted nighthawkblack, it's a different black that sets it off and also allows it to fit other car colors. So if your going to do it red...do it a deeper red than your car to set off the lights a little bit. One concern I have is that this might be too much red...black might better accent the car.

looking good on the red...and i plan on doing it like Oono DIY housing, only problem is that i don't wanna replace my roadlamp with the new 03 covers... that is really the main reason that is stopping me from doing it right now....me afraid it'll look weird with the top black and bottem normal... that is why i need someone to photoshop a pair or roadlamp onto the red cl with blackhousing...
