Blacked out housing?

Has anyone tried or thought of painting the chrome part of the headlight black? I've thought about clearing out my lights but I can also paint the chrome part of the housing to make it look like the 2003 headlights instead of paying 350+ bucks for it.

Did anyone do this process for the 2001-2002 CL's?

I would love to have bodycolored headlights, if I had a red or blue car. Soodpa, aren't your headlight houseings painted flat silver? Got any pics?

Wonder if body paint would withstand the heat of the HIDs? I'm thinking about doing it once the clear diffusers for the 99 TL are made. On a silver TL I think it will look sweet.

if you go to www.towerpaint.com the paints like $20 for spray can. You give them your color code and they will provide a can for you. I bought one for my Vogue Silver Integra, and it matched perfectly.

Adam... I'm gonna try an get a spare set of headlights from someone who installed 03 heads on an -1 or something. I wanna do something different tho. Besides just silver, cuz I don't think it will be noticeable. Black is done already on the 03's. Lemme comeup with an idea. thanks for the hook up, i'll hook you up too.

I did the for myself and Moomaster99. The biggest pain in the ass was masking the teardrop shaped blinker light since u can use the amber piece as a shield from paint for the lower marker. I used a black metallic from Rust-o-leum.
