Black Chrome?

I was watching Gearz the other day on Speed and he was showing a black chrome spray paint kit to spray over chrome plated parts its basicly a tinted clear paint. I've seen real black chrome wheels and they look dope but they seem to vary from set to set some are darker and some are lighter. Any way I was wondering if anyone has used that kit before I forget who makes it but I saw it in Advance auto parts this weekend. I was wondering if anyone used it on the chrome trim, emblems, grill or anything else? If you have any pics hit me up I'd appreciate it and if anyone has put black chrome wheels on there CL I'd like to see some pics of it. Thanks in advance for your help.

I saw the same episode. I think it was Dupi-Color taht made that kit. Looked like pretty nice stuff.

Also if you are going to paint aomthing I think Dupont or dupi color makes a spray adhesive modifier that has been used with great results.

http://www.duplicolor.com/ Look at the home page for the SHADOW black chrome.

the trim pieces on the cl arent real chrome it is plastic. I would assume paint for plastic would work better than paint for chrome parts. For the grille pieces you can paint youself or have a bodyshop do it. For the chrome trim around windows only thing I would do is put shadowline trim tape over it.

No I'm not talking about painting the chrome pieces black. I'm talking about black chrome which is like a tinted chrome. Not a lot of people know about it cuz it's not very popular but you can find black chrome rims. Dodge actually put black chrome rims on limited Ram's I think they were called Knight Runner Edition those trucks were all black with the knight runner edition written in flat black on the sides of the beds the Ram 1500's had the factory 20"s but instead of being chrome they were black chrome & the SRT8 Knight Runner editions had the 22" wheels I forgot who made them but there expensive wheels & instead of the standard chrome they were black chrome & I know toyota & Lexus have optional black chrome badging or atleast they did in 03-05 when I worked @ Lexus but they called them black pearl I think. I was just wondering if anyone had done there trim, grill or emblems in black chrome cuz I think it would look bad ass on a black, silver, gray and maybe even white CL's or TL's
