the passenger headlight is meesed up looking, and the badges were definetly remvoed then added again, the 3.2 and S badge is to close to the center of the car

Hmmm ... The messed up headlight and badges suggests to me that the car might have been in an accident and repaired. If it happened recently then the accident report might not have made it into CarFax yet ... but when I ran a CarFax, it came up 100% clean, no problems found.

The car was bought in Georgia and then titled in New York ... probably doesn't make a difference except it sounds like the person was searching for that particular car.

The car was also sold at an auction in July.

good digging. I saw the badges but didn't notice the headlight. Since the badges are replaced kind of off center I wonder too if a body shop did do it after a repaint. hard to tell really who did it.

Yeah ... I mean it *could* potentially just be a fogged up headlight housing or some sortof adhesive thats stuck to the outside plastic of the headlight, and it could be that the person who sold the car debadged it (since it looks like they at least put in an AEM CAI and tints) and the dealer or the seller put badges back on the car.

Seems a little bit strange that the car would have been sold at a dealership in June, and then sold at an auction in July though. I would think a car like this would be sellable on a dealer lot.

If you notice on the driver side the plastic piece above the headlight is cut, like the car has been repaired, I just looked at mine and mine is a solid piece of plastic from one side to the other. That headlight is either severely fogged or adhesive on it, but that would have come off with a good cleaning, so it is probably fogged.

This car could have been a repo. And if the DMV was never notified of the accident CarFAX wouldn't show it. Really you have to inspect the car in person to know.

Somebody in NJ area should take a look at it tho. From the best stats we've seen, only about 167 black/black Navi 6 speeds were made. 129 of my color Navi 6sp were made

My first 03 6 speed was a repo, from Colorado, went to auction and my local dealer bought it and certified it, it had only 3500 miles. Dealer said it was an 'executive' car, but Carfax showed it was repossessed.

I can look at it tomorrow night. I work right next door to the place. They also have a Tafetta White 01 CL-S as well on the lot right now. I was suprised to see its from this place though, cause I thought I would have noticed any other CLs they had .

No one usually bids that high on ebay cars cause they can't inspect them, that's why there are sometimes great deals on ebay cars. esp if you live close and can get it inspected or look it over.

Well someone really wants this car bad, i've start to bid on it and where already up to 15K.

Based on a quick appraisal the car is worth somewhere about 24K (maybe more if they know they got a rare find), on trade its 20K, so i guess the Reserve is somewhere between there.

Yes it will be interesting to watch and see where it sells at.

I'll bid on it over the weekend no thanks to you guys from reading how better a 6 speed is

I was eyeing a new one that was sitting on the lot at the local Acura Dealer, exact same car, but was just waiting to save up enough to trade up. Unfortunately it was sold recently. I could probably manage this though since its used. Trying to find one with Navi is a pain in the ass.

Well, I only had to fly about 400 miles to get mine! well worth it, only had 7500 miles, was owned by a Dr that just drove it to work. I decided if I was going to the hassle to sell my white/tan no-navi 6 speed I better at least get a loaded 6 speed and in a rarer color that I liked better.
Good luck, it's interesting to see what the market will be for the CL 6 speeds now that Acura (and Accord) too offers it on most every model they make Now!!! those of us 95 Legend owners had to wait 8 years for the 03 CLS 6mt!

Well, I couldn't check it out today. I was working a little late at job 1 and called out at job 2 so I could go look at the car and give mine a much needed bath. It turns out the owner took it home with him for the night. I guess he took a liking to it over the Escalade with Momo wheels, S200, G35, and Porsche Boxster, just to name a few of the nicer cars they had. I'll have to see if I have time in the morning to look at it before I head down to Philly.

i got lucky. i went into a local dealership to check out their 3 used 01 CL-S's. None of them really pleased me. As I was walking back to the showroom to get the sales person's card, I saw the left-over 03' 6spd CL-s w/ navi. I left that day , driving the 03 home =) After joining this forum about 2 months ago, I realize what a rare find I got.
