Big throttle body

I've read everywhere how important it is to match the throttle body to the intake manifold and it makes a lot of sense.

However, that being said, I for the life of me cannot find any information about any aftermarket cable driven throttle bodies that match the inside of the manifold I've chosen, the magnesium intake manifold off of the base TL 09-14.

The manifold inlet is 68mm and Im willing to bore it out to 70mm to find a match. Ideally 70mm on the outlet side would be what I'm looking for. The inlet size doesn't matter.

I've messaged skunk2 and blox about their B series throttle bodies but it seems like they're taking their sweet ass time replying and im trying to get this car done and maybe there are people here who can help 🙂. This throttle body will be connected to a P2R adapter.

Car is as follows

J35a3 engine
RL cams
J35z6 magnesium intake
TL-S exhuast valve springs
4In intake
custom dual exhaust 3in/dual 2.5s
P2R race headers
Tuned on AEM V2

If anyone could help it'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

Not sure if the forum member's threads below will help you; however, the discussion is good regarding larger TB applications.

76mm TB - AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community

If they end up assisting your situation, write a few words on how it helped.

Hey thanks for the links!

I've read through some of those but there are no exact measurements which sucks. It honestly took me forever to find out if there was a true difference between the j35 and j37 magnesium manifolds and what that exact difference was. (They look exactly the same)

J37 shawd inlet is 75mm and just like the other j35 intakes the j35z6 has a 68mm inlet. I've seen many many people post about gains with the zdx tb, which is 80inlet/70outlet paired with the shawd manifold so I just wanted something similar because there are gains to be made here. It honestly looks like my best bet is to just buy the biggest cable tb I can find (<80mm) and pair it with an adapter similar to the P2R one because let's me honest....someone botched that adapter job badly lmao.

It's a good thing I have access to a shop and lathe so I'll be able to make my own.

Dont normally run naturally aspirated, so been limited to stock manifold. But with my old block about to be replaced soon, wanted to test fit an RL manifold that I had split in halves to clean out a while ago. I polished the insides with a flex hone before re-sealing. Opening is 70mm, which matches the p2r adapter. I think it looks fine and its cheaper than j37. Gives more hood clearance over the cls manifold too. with the cls manifold i had to use hood spacers. I have ported heads and lower runners too, just not installed yet.
