i just got off the phone with the SOLO East coast representative:

i have no choice but to postpone our meet until September 2nd, which is a Sunday...the reason is b/c the Aug 25th event is called an Evolution school, which is already booked and not for us...we had an option to attend the Aug 12th event, but since Jahova's Witnesses will also b there, there will b no room for us to hang while the event is going on...so the new date for the meet is Sept. 2nd...many apologies for this change and inconvenience...the rep is actually very excited to see an Acura presence...he said he hasn't seen really any CL's/Tl's compete in these events, so let's get a big group together...cost is $25 for everything...guaranteed to get between 4 and 6 runs in with the possibility to have fun runs against other competitors...registration is 8:30 AM...b prompt, or else u can't enter...ill b happy to entertain any questions since i've been fully briefed.

Edit: On 2nd thought, I may not be able to run my car at that event, I won't have heat cycled my new BFG R1's on time... But I'll probably be there anyway, maybe driving another WRX if I can borrow one.

just wanted to refresh everyone's memory bout Sept 2nd...i was thinking of the best ways to get more power and agility...im thinking of removing the spare tire and jack stuff for less weight, taking the right road lamp out for more air into the CAI area, and removing the splash guard for unrestricted air...anyone else think of anything i missed???

Not sure where you're racin but I've gone to the Nassau Col and had a great time there and really got noticed. I wanna do it there again so where you guys gonna be ? Just got TS-1's and LOVE THEM. STICK LIKE GLUE!!!!

that's awesome u got noticed so much...imagine what people will think when a ton of us in CL's and TL's come and take over the place!! as far as i know, one of the parking lot's will b used for the track...the meet will b in the next lot over...hopefully, we'll have a nice turnout and people will come and check our rides out.

I went to Nassau Col today & the only Acuras I saw were 2 ITRs.

Most people remove the spare and the jack when they run. Getting that little bit of air to the CAI probably isn't worth the effort as autoxes favor driver skill and handling much more than power.

Good tires and driving skill make the biggest impact on times. I'd say that R compound tires would cut 2-4 sec off your time, whereas, say, an extra 20hp would cut under a second off of it.
