Best Tire Solution ->Toronto

I'm wondering what the best (no price considered) and best (price considered) solution for a '01 CL-S for Toronto driving (in other words, all seasons).

I'm looking into Snow tires, but I can't warrant them with tires like the Pilot Sport A/S out there...

Thanks for the help!

I disagree.

Having seperate snow tires pays for itself and then some.

Average cost of a high performance summer tire in Toronto : $250-$300 per tire.

Average cost of a snow tire in toronto : $110-$130.

The time you spend riding on a less expensive tire will more than pay for the cost of a spare set of 16 inch wheels.

Not to mention you will achieve better summer performance and better winter performance this way.

All season tires are a compromise in every season.

Call around Acura dealers or check the for sale forum and you shuold be able to find some 16 inch tlp wheels for $100-$150 each AT MOST.

Here's what I ride and I'm extremely happy:

Summer : 215/50/17 Dunlop SP9000 ~=$300 per tire on stock 17's

Winter : 205/55/16 Nokian NRW ~=$120 per tire on stock tlp wheels.

If you are considering all seasons then you probably aren't expecting to encounter tons of deep snow or ice so the NRW's are a great choice (they are H rated and put the stock MXM4's to shame on dry pavement)

thank you both for your replies - I'm strongly considering the snow/winter tire option. I think you have changed my mind. I'm going to call Acura in the morning and get pricing on
