Best ticket excuses... that ever WORKED ;)...

a few come to mind... a long lost friend used to carry a canister of a 'simulated diarrehia smell' - I sh*t you not [no pun ]. Whenever a cop would stop him - he'd set that thing off... and obviously 'looked awful' to 'enhance' the situation... I believe it worked twice... for him. As for how long it takes to get the smell out... your guess is as good as mine - would you stink up your baby for $300-500?? and a few points on your record? - maybe ... ?

During traffic school - a few excuses folks mentioned that worked, were spontenious ones... such as a speeding guy stopped with the cop asking 'Are you a damn pilot? where are you flying", the guy shows him his pilot's license ... or "where is the fire? - and the guy happens to be a fireman ...

Any others ??

Donate $25 to your State's FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) and get the sticker and card. Show the cop the card....works great.

one time when i got my car back after the tranny replacement, I was trying to see if it drove like before and flew by a cop, not even noticing. I explained to him the whole stuation and he just tossed me the ticket. he didn't believe that such a new car could have problems like that.

I already put this in another thread --- oops --- here it is in the right thread:

Cops have heard it all and seen it all. If you're going 100 in a 50 zone, nothing you say will help. If you're going 73 in a 65 zone, you might have a chance, but the diarrhea excuse won't improve that.

Simple advice: be respectful, be honest (or mostly honest) have your documents easily availble, show the officer your hands on the wheel, ask/warn that you are reaching for your documents.

I thought Ernie from Ernie's House of Whoop Ass did a nice write up on this a while ago.

EHOWA is one of those sites that I keep coming back too. Entertaining opinion and ranting with naked chicks. Isn't that what the internet is all about?
