escalade is real nice but you are better off getting a tahoe. those caddy badges cost you about 10 grand.
I'll take a Range Rover please.

For mid to large SUVs I'm liking:
Escalade/Escalade EXT
Toureg (the Cayanne is just too expensive for what you get)
FX45 (The exterior looks hot)
I know you guys are going to laugh at me but my favorite SUV is the current gen CRV. I like my SUVs small and carlike...it's understatedly handsome...and well built...for a decent price.

A Land Rover? Hahah, good luck on the reliability on that thing. Who wants an "tough" SUV that is unreliable.
The best SUVs that are real trucks with the best reliability are the Toyota 4Runner and Toyota Sequoia.

I am also laughing at you. Have you driven one? That car is a POS.

fx45 only, all the way, who wouldn't want the speed of that beast for a price tage 20k less (ok 17) than the cayenne, and whoever said touareg can you say 9 cd navigation system that won't let you play audio if you are using the navi, sounds like crap to me
I don't know how vw gets off pricing there stuff the way they do, that has always been my favorite thing about the honda/acura levels of cars, almost no options to jack the price
I know the fx is expensive, but for 4k more i would much rather have the fx45 at 53, than the passat on a jacked up suspension at 49
caddy slx is saweettttt!

First Drive of the BMW X3 at Edmunds
thing thing better be priced a few thousand less than the 3 series, just like the X5 is priced a few thousand less than 5-series.

If I could somehow figure out how to put the Acura MDX interior into an FX45 that would be the perfect SUV for me.
My best friend has an MDX, and it's a fairly low-rent interior IMO. It looks very similar to the old TL, but feel the dashboard material. It's hard plastic instead of the soft material in the CL. If the MDX interior was based off the TSX or new TL, then I'd say it's better than the FX45

BTW.. I saw a X3 on the highway today. It had Georgia plates. Awesome looking little truck. A little too much body cladding for my tastes, but cool looking. Very small though. Only looked slightly larger than a CR-V

Here's my list:
1. BMW X5 4.6i SAV. I've driven one, the inside kicks ass for a BMW and it's damn quick for an SUV. The blue color they offer them in just sweetens the deal. AND - it can still haul 5000 lbs. Too bad I don't have $70K.
2. New Range. That shit is hot. My chick friends step-dad manages the dealership here. We took one out for a spin. It's NICE. Again, if I only had $70K I could get da hook up lol.
3. 4Runner. The new V8 option is da bomb, plus the 100+ extra ponies AND tq you get from the bolt on TRD supercharger. Toyota reliability on the 4Runner is just plain awesome.
4. Excursion Diesel. What else can carry 8 people plus 52 cu. ft of cargo AND haul a 12,000 lb trailer? It's an F250 with a covered bed. It's one of only a few current Fords that I would buy, even tho I hate Ford after my last car.

my first choice should have been a Range Rover, not a land rover that was my bad. I actually like the FX45 a lot but i just can't see myself driving something that futuristic looking. I actually like the inside but would never buy one.

ast week, I had to go to Ohio (AGAIN!) After we landed at Dayton, I went to National rent a car. I had requested a mid sized car for me and the boss. What they gave me was a complete suprise. A Dodge Durango.
Not being a fan of domestics, I was impressed. The thing didn't sound as good as my CLS6, it sounded better.
When I got to the plant, I floored the thing from a dead stop (4 speed auto) and the thing left a good fifty feet of rubber and plenty of smoke, too. 15 mpg on average. All things considered, not too bad for that kind of 'mobile.

OK so maybe the Porsche is better than the Pathfinder Armada...
but the Pathfinder Armada is still better than an Escalade.
I own a 02 Tahoe and before I bought it I test drove the Escalade. Needless to say they are pretty much identical ride wise. The only differences is the motor (sucks gas down more quickly), the badges and the type of leather.
Enough said

Jeep Grand Cherokee or Toyo 4-Runner
They have balls and you can actually drive off road and over rocks and shit.
I think all those car based SUV's are fucking :ghey:
Who cares if there fast. If you want fast, buy a sports car.

Forget Nissan SUVs. I've driven the new Armada, the engine is the best. But it is a real rattle monster and really not built well. Reliability is a question.
In the same price range, forget the Pathfinder and Armada. Turn to a Toyota 4Runner or Sequoia. Smooth, reliable and one of the best build-qualities ever.
