Best Exhaust...

What's the best exhaust out there. I know theres Greddy, Comptech, HKS, and Magnaflow, but I dont want anything thats going to make my car sound like a ricer. I only have the $$ for the Exhaust so far, so Headers are definitly out of the question until later. If anyone has any useful information about any exhaust systems, and/or pics of them installed, PLEASE post them and give me some info.

Thanks!!~

Check my "Megan Headers Install" thread. You think I paid 5oo bones? No. I did some searching on Ebay. So far I am not disappointed with the stuff I've bought on Ebay. The SS headers, AEM CAI, and axle back Apex'I mufflers I haven't even broke 500 yet. I honestly wouldn't waste money on a full custom exhaust if you have a type-S. Keep the mid-section of your exhaust and tune the other ends.

Good luck.

yeah as others have said dont bother with the exhaust, the type s already has a fairly high flow exhaust system so u'd only be gaining like 5-10hp from the mod...whereas u could wait a little while and save to get the CT headers or buy used ones now and the gains will be dramatically better. ive got the CT headers and ice box and i dont plan on doing the exhaust ever unless i get the supercharger...which wont be for a few years soooo im set for now lol

Stock... that's the best. W/ headers

You might get 2hp from mufflers... not a great bang for the buck.. but the xspower or ssautochome headers at $150 might be the ticket...

Look at the "Non-Comptech headers for 2G CL?????" thread on page one of the 2G CL forum for more info...
