Is this the best deal for a used 6spd EVER?

SSM 6spd in Upland, CA

17,500 miles for $15,995! It's thousands of miles away from me, or else I would grab it up real quick... maybe one of you guys in cali can go check it out...

maybe you can even have someone here run the VIN and see what's up with it.

It has 01 Tail lights.

But Looks like a really clean car! You better hop in that! I have that same car and I love it!

Just make sure it hasnt been in a fire or flood.

Check the carfax.

But I say, be prepared to take a road trip to pick it up.

Yeah might have been wrecked in the rear if it doesn't have the correct taillights.

Looks good on paper but I'd do my homework first.

I would think someone on here lives up there. Maybe you could get someone to go check it out for you?

Yea, I just realized my gf lives an hour away... she won't be going home for another 3 weeks though (and she can't drive stick )

In the meantime, can anyone run a quick carfax on it?

double check that thing... sometimes if a deal's too good to be true, then it just might be.

kbb puts my CLS at $21,630 private party, retail is $24.425.
has 30k miles, Navi, spoiler. I put in excellent condition, but I would have to fix some bumper and door dings to be excellent.

Yeah, if you go by the KBB value, that price of 15,995 is around trade in value...

If it sounds like the deal is too good to be true, it usually is...

Shawn S reported that someone used pics of his car for a bogus autotrader ad for his car:

It was the old (my car is out of the country, send me a deposit) scam.
They said the car was in England
Someone who knew my car told me about it.
The AD has since been pulled.

HAHA, you are one step ahead of me, dude!! I was just about to post how it's worth a try, even if it IS bogus or salvaged... the only thing you can really lose is a bit of your time.

I'm definitely gonna keep looking for good deals, though. Maybe we could even start a "Great Deals on 6spds" thread to make it easier for anyone on the site who's looking for an upgrade.

Some people on the site have an unlimited carfax subscription (I think you pay a subscription fee)... especially the one's who own lots. I thought they'd be willing to help.

Carfax is good for some info but it doesn't always show everything, only wrecks that are reported etc.
