It all depends on the speed you are cruising at. If I'm going fast 65MPH+ then techno is usually it. Look at Gran Turismo 3, or doin hard cardio at the gym.

I know it may sound crazy, but the faster you go, the faster the music needs to be.

Now...If I'm stuck in traffic, then I'm blasting, TuPac, DMX, 50 Cents, Eminem and the like (aka hard/angry style of rap). My style of music usually matches my style of driving.

There are some exceptions though. If I'm racing (very very rare...and only done late at night) then I'm completely silent...since I need to hear EVERYTHING (mostly tires & engine), just in case anything goes wrong (knock on wood).

I was just at the Ministry of sound in London last week - crazy place - I agree w/ edgalang - Classic hip-hop, eminem - and for some reason I have been a big fan of Talib Kweli when driving locally

When driving on the highway Im a big White Zombie - Linkin Park, Pantara fan....king eclectic but whatever!

I am a hard rock guy...Godsmack, Disturbed are two good driving fast/cruising around choices for me. I do own a fair amount of 2Pac and DMX but I am not always in the mood for them. But maybe when the weather warms up I'll want the bass pumping out the windows.

Other than that, I listen to a lot of hard rock bands that many people have never heard of...Evergrey, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Fates Warning...I guess if you had to fit it into a genre it is considered "progressive metal". I get some funny looks when I am blasting that around town.

OutKast- ATLiens

Long Beach Dub Allstars (both albums are awesome; they are Sublime post Bradley's death)

Allman Brothers- Live at the Fillmore East (2cd)

Audioslave

50 cents is hott right now,, Dr.Dre does have some classics,, but I have to agree if Im racing and going fast some TECHNO makes me concentrate better on the road instead of the lyrics.

Linkin Park new CD is going to be the bomb I heard almost all the songs are hits.

The Soprannos Theme always works for me. The whole CD is good.

How do you guys get the gun impression out of the leather where your right hip presses into the seat?
