Bent Driveshaft? Help quick!
Ugh, another issue.
I've had a wobble in the front of my car for quite some time now an it's progressively getting worse.
I've eliminated most of the easy fixes (new tires, rotating wheels, and I even bought some 04 TL rims) None of those fixed my wobble.
It feels as if it's only coming from the left hand side.
One other note is that it is REALLY bad at 50-60 MPH. Like a shaking, jolting at that speed.
I've been told that "The only thing that could cause that big of a wobble at that speed, is your driveshaft"
Any ideas?

Well on FWD it's a halfshaft or left & right drive axle's. There's 1 on each side of the trans left & right. A new axle isn't much money. Like $150. Replacement isn't that hard either.
The CV joint is likely the problem. It's just plain easier & makes more sense to replace the entire axle, then only the CV joint part of it. A few members have had to replace the axle's.

That would be my guess also. If it is worse on acceleration, it points to a bad CV joint on the axle. There are two CV joints per axle and one going bad can cause the problem.

Yeah, i hear ya on that one. The guy at firestone said both of them are bad. I'm gonna pull them out and look for myself though.
The GSP axles have a lifetime warranty on them, if that means anything.

I loved the lifetime warranty on the axles from Auto Zone. I used to get new ones every year just for the hell of it. If they ask why, I say they're clicking and they give me new ones.
