Beat a Mustang GT, lost to a modded Eclipse Turbo
I was leaving Cafe Intermezzo with a friend on 75N. I notice yellow fogs coming fast but looking at the light pattern, I knew it was not a LEX. A 97 or So Mustang GT with chrome wheels pulls up next to me and just paces. I then notice a maroon Eclipse next to the Stang. So they both hit it (we are doing 70mph) and I decide TO SHOW EM WHAT A LEX CAN DO!! (or can't, lol)
My actual concern was the GT, I figured the Mitsu was the easier kill. Well I have my car floored and I pull on the GT slowly but surely. The other thing was I-75 was curving and he clearly was stock as his car seemed uneasy. I pull and pass the GT and the Mitsu is clearly ahead both of us. We are doing 125mph.
We slow down and it's just the Eclipse and me. We slow to about 80 and I pull next to him and give him the thumbs up . The guy seemed surprised (I guess he thought I was a Lexus prick) and waved and I hear THE BLOW OFF VALVE! This obviously ain't stock as a stock turbo, u can't hear it (do they have one stock)? I also notice gauges in the A-pillar. Fock
We hit it again and stay DEAD EVEN to 105mph and he then pulls slowly but harder on me. FOCK. At 120 I back off, clearly defeated.
It was fun though.

The GT's ( 94-95 5.0's and 96-98 4.6's) are dogs and they handle like crap, so does my Cobra.
pimpscls- depends on the year GT-
You will beat a 94-98 GT no problem. They run anywhere from high 15's to high 14's at around 94-97mph.
A 99+ GT runs mid/low 14's at anywhere from 97-101 mph.
- Good luck finding a stock one to run against

There arent a ton of stock one's running around however, and most at least have th ebasic mods ie. timing, cai, exhaust. Once modded they can be decently fast.

Blow off valves are awesome...just love that sound...a friend of mine has a GS-T with BOV...it's fucking bad...have not run with him yet. Nice kill on the GT.
