battery question
battery question
my 2001 CL-s is 2.5 yrs old. I did not use it for 1 month and cannot start it right now. I checked the battery and found it got black eye. Do I need a new battery?

You can take your battery to Autozone/Pep Boys/Sears and they'll be more then happy to test your battery to see if it can hold a charge -- before they sell you a new one.
You can also jump-start your car, drive it around for an hour, turn it off. Wait an hour and try to start again. If it holds the charge you'll be OK until it dies for good.
If it was my > 2 year old stock battery, I wouldn't waste my time with the jump -- I'd just by a new one.
Keep in mind that your battery can also loose charge if the alternator or other components of your electrical system are not working -- less likely in a 2.5 year old Acura, but not unheard of.
