BassLink on Ebay

There are a pile of Infinity Basslink systems on Ebay for about 150 bucks less than Crutchfield or Circui City.

What do yu all make of this? Do you really think they are "NEW" or are they factory remanufactured? Then I think they may have been demo models... Anybody have any feeligns on this? Or know a place to get one for a great price?

Car audio has a 50-60% markup in retail stores. I used to work for Car Audio chains, and the markup is rediculous.

If the seller feedback is plentiful and weighted at the good end (95% or more) get it.

Ya those Ebay ones are worth it, just watch the seller rating. I'm looking to buy in a couple months. And I'll be looking on EBay, or maybe a used one here....

I found a guy from our site that works at a stero shop and get just as good of a deal if anyone else is intrested. I will ask him if it is OK to post his name so you all can contact him yourself.

As far as ease is concerned. I have a thread started in the A/V area. I found a place in Cali that makes plug in adapters that go in behind the head-unit and allow you to add amp VIA RCA outputs. He said if we all get a few, he would give us 20% off his stuff. He also has a PowerDriver that goes inbetween the radio and the NEW AMP that allows you adjustment of Volts to the amp. I am going to get both.

I want to start a group buy because a few poeple were thinking of getting some. But I dont know how to start a group buy. With this wiring it will cut the install time in 1/2..

I also bought a basslink off of ebay not too long ago. It was new in the box, just like the auction said.

I got my basslink on ebay about 1 1/2 ago and paid around 218 with shipping. There is a huge markup like suxor said, but if you don't feel comfortable buying it you can always try to visit a local shop and see if you can get a deal on one.

I just took the risk, i figured since it was well under half the price of a brand new one at a retail store it should be worth it. lucky for me it was a brand new on in the box and haven't had any problems with it yet.

I bought mine off Ebay last month for about $175 plus shipping. It came brand new in a perfect box. Didnt look like it had ever been opened. The install is very simple and there are lots of DIY threads on here to help you.

Overall, i am not impressed with the sound. It seems to have a mind of its own most times as the bass is output varies on the same beat. That could be low quality MP3's causing this but my old componant system sounded consistant with this same CD. Who knows.....anyway, my feeling is sometimes the bass output takes away from the songs since it veries so much. I think Im going to resell this bad boy and hook up a separate amp and sub. just my 2 cents from my experinence.
