i'm new to all of this; i just got a 3.2 CL this weekend, but am pissed off because there isn't really that much out there to customize it.

I'm looking for basic stuff for now, like custom corner lights, a grille and probably a ground effects kit and rims. Mine is taffeta white, if that makes any difference.

custom corner lights??? this isnt a 88-91 civic nor a 1990-1993 integra, its pretty much a 1 piece headlight... you can change the bulb, but theres no corner light....
you can change the road lamp bulb also... ronjon has grills...

I think RJ actually has to make the grille for you. If I remember correctly, you have to send him yours, and he'll make it.

Also, the only headlight mods available are installing '03 lights in your '01 or '02 CL, OR, take them apart and DIY - you get to bake them! It's not hard, just time consuming.

I've found with the CL, you have to get creative to mod it differently than everyone elses since mods are few and faw between.

What year is yours? Navi? Got pics?

If you want to customize your car by changing lights, grill, and ground effects, go get a civic. O and did I mention the numerous selection of wings and vtec stickers for the civic?

mine is an '01 without the navigation system

i dont have a digital camera, so i haven't gotten around to posting any pictures, but its just a stock CL as of now.

the year its manufactured is going to limit what parts i actually can use, right?
so what does that leave me with...?

since you've never 'done this before' i suggest you take a look at the search function. all your questions will be answered if you search as specifically as you want. it works wonders.

uhm, the guy said he'd never been to a car forum before. i put him in the right direction to use the search function.

 

There really is a LOT to do. It just depends on how detailed you want to go and how much cabbage you want to drop. After owning/modding it awhile, you'll look back at your list of changes and wonder how you ever did it all.


There may not be a huge list of exterior mods like the Honda line-up, but trust me, there's enough to be done.
