My wife got into an accident at about the same time he had his car torched and the insurance company has only just got back to us. They took forever to give us an answer. Unfortunately it wasn't what we wanted to hear! The total damage to the rear end after someone went into the back of her came to $6700, and the value is roughly $12K - $14K. Now I will have a car that is worth nothing and no one will ever want to buy. Thanks alot insurance company.

LMAO... NO I'M NOT IN JAIL. Well I talked the Gieco yesterday they said they were going to give me $10,980. But since KBB & NADA say it's worth from 12-14... I'm going to fight for alittle more. I lost my AVIC-N2 & my kickers, & I just found out I had my brand new 60GB Video iPod in the car cause I can't find it anywhere. Whatever... I'll let you guys know what's going on as soon as I find out.

Gieco is the WORST when you get a car totaled. They never give you real fair value. Your the 5th person I know to have that problem with them.

Geico also has a 20-year history of lobbying for illegalization of radar detectors, and they discriminate against families w/student drivers. Not to mention Warren Buffett is a class-traitor POS. Avoid them at all costs. 21st Century has been very good to me in the past, including 2 accidents over the last 10 years that were definitely my fault.

We have Geico, and they gave us way more than my wife's Z3 was worth when she totalled it. I was ready for a fight, and was amazed when they told me they were giving us $21K for the car when we paid $20K for it one year before, (KBB & NADA were around $19K). They didn't even jack out rates that much considering a $50K payout for the accident and hospital bills. I've stuck with them so far because of that.
