this is my first negative report on a LS1 driver...i was comin home and had an opening and got out of some traffic...this formula comes racing up after me .at first i think its my friend with his new car...nope...he rolls down his window giving me the thumbs down...i was in shock...like i said this happened fast and untill i saw the guy i was thinking it was my friend...he yells you need 3 more cylinders...ok then id have a 9 cylinder...anyway i yell show me...he turns i follow...we get to a road where if he would have turned right we could have easily had a little stint to 70 or so safely...anyway he's stopped at this light and not in the turn lane...now he yells get a road and track, check out the numbers...i yell i have 5K$ worth of engine work no nitrous no F.I. he says again get a road and track... i yell again.. show me....he says im not out to kill anyone tonight meaing reckless road racing...frustrated at this point as he pulls away from the light i brake torque and light them up for about 100ft then turn around...this was not antagonised by me ,and i am aware that above 70 i wont have much chance with an LS1, but i wont often go above 70 on the street ...man id really like to teach this guy a lesson...he was about 40 with his wife and poodle in the car...i cant tell you what id give to catch up with him again...run him to 70 even if im just off his rear tire it will shock the shit out of him ...then pull over and approach him with my hand extended tell him my name and tell him im full aware of the potential of the LS1 and dont need confirmations from the likes of road and track....this is one of those guys that says every japenese car is rice...and cant stand the civics out there with the fart cans sounding loud and going slow...

i exacted some revenge today..my friend shawn the guy from the story has a cl-S also and just got a nice formula exactly like the one from yesterday...we'd been talking about racing...i was heading back from my lunch break ,he was just out and about...we went and waited for a light...light turns he gets a car,im spinning but just alittle shift into second and low and behold i just started pulling on him...i was more than a car ahead half way through third... sorry my revenge had to be taken out on my firend he goes by nitrate on this board...maybe we'll hear from him tonight...

 

typeRs car is definitely quick. Had me by at least a car length at or around 70.. passed me up pretty quickly at about 55... he says I was startin to catch him in 3rd but unfortunately we had to slow down before we pile drived some cars at a red light. good race. I could imagine what he would've done to my CLS, lol. keep eatin up them v8s! I'll take ya in a few months..

Obviously any LS1 drivers who talks so much smack can't handle his car. You woulda ripped him a new one... Too bad too, because that woulda been hilarious... even better if you had 20" blings, so you could rub it in his face... "What, you were racing? Are you missing some cylinders on your mighty V8?"

 

It was actually an LT1 I believe as I heard. The guy was a dumbass, but typeR definitely wouldn't have ripped him a new one. Would've given him a real good run, and possibly even won, but definitely wouldn't have ripped him a new ass. I raced typeR in my 95 Formula (LT1, 275hp stock) and took him until about 50 at which he passed me and stayed about a car length or so ahead of me up until around 70. I was startin to gain on him but had to stop due to traffic and a red light. The car he originally raced was a Trans Am (could have between 285+ hp stock) and probably would've taken him in the long run.

Just being able to hang with an LT1 in a 3.5 V6 is amazing so whether he would win or lose, his car is still quick as hell.
