Back Seat Removal help!!!

Ahh! Another topic we have seen before, I want to pull my backseats out this afternoon, some say the bottom just lifts up, not true, I lifted, pulled, if I try any harder, I will loosen something and posibbly break it. Are these the kind you push way in while lifting to release some sort of hold? Someone please post a step by step or link me, I know this one is common...

you pull the joint between the back cushion and the bottom cushion apart a little and there is ONE screw holding the bottom cushion down...take that one out and your ready to pull out the whole bottom cushion...then there are three more screws holding the back cushion and then lift up and out...

uhh, dude there are absolutely NO screws of any kind holding down the seat bottoms...the bottoms just pull right up, you gotta YANK on them really hard but there are definately no screws, ive taken my back seat apart 2 times before....the middle console in the back has 4 screws which are easily accessable once the seat bottoms are out, and then seat back has 2 scres holding it down (one on each far lower corner) then that just lifts up and out....thats it.

jimcoll711, thanks also, I will check it out, you do have a CL, he has a TL which could possibly be way different.

Mine were hard to yank out too. The seat cusion was starting to lift up so much without letting go I thought it would break. I lifted it a little, & got the handle of a screwdriver under the plastic clip thing, & lifted from there. Worked alot better. Also after the first time, the seats become more easy to remove. No screws on the CL. The TL does have screws.

I just got done taking out my back seats, and it's easy. One seat was hard to get out though. But I got it by pushing in and pulling out at the same time as lifting up, pop, it came out.

And all of the screw locations are just as jimcol711 said...

As a veteran of many backseat removals....here is the key...get lean your knees against the front portion of the bottom cushion and push with your knees while pulling up..this will remove the snaps that hold it in place.
