Does anyone know how to make a b-series throttle body work on the j-series? I heard that it is possible.

 

I thought they did fit,except you lose cruise control.
Also if your going bigger than stock you might want to gasket match the intake to match the TB.
And even if it dont work you can make a adapter plate to make it work

 

Yeah I heard that they fit but there is a problem with the IACV. How do you make it work and have a good idle?

 

good question.I don't think they have a iacv setup on the B series.
Ask civic,he might have your answer.

 

They use a plunger style IACV thats on the intake manifold itself. Im sure you can make the stock rotary style IACV work with some ingenuity.

I have to ask though - why? The B series TB is not large. IIRC the largest aftermarket B series TB Ive seen is 70mm. A bored Type S TB will be ~69mm.

It doesnt seem worth it IMO.

 

Blox makes b-series throttle bodys up to 76mm. Any idea on how to make the iacv work?
