Axis sent me two chipped rims, and they won't take them back!!!!!!!
They sent me two rims with the center caps on and two with them off. Two of the rims have chips, Axis said that they wont take them back because they can't prove that they did it, and I can't prove that they did it. Axis wheels are good, and may look nice, but the way they handle thier customers.........SUCKS!!!!!!!

just get some wheel paint from griotsgarage.com or something like that and touch it up...from what I have read the chips are nothing that big...but anyways that does suck that they wouldnt take it back...oh well, they have one of the better cast one piece rims in terms of strength and weight...

Could it have been the tire place? Or did they already come with tires. Since you went ahead and touched them up..they're yours for good..can't do shit about it now.

thats weird.
when i got my wheels i lost the center cap cuz i didnt screw it on tight enough...
they promptly sent me a replacement free of charge. overnight shipping... no questions asked...

Nicky Pass, if the wheels are completely new and uninstalled, you can prove that you never put them on your car, and convince them that you weren't the one that chipped the wheels.
The first time you torque the lugnuts down, they leave a slight but distinguishable impression on the wheel. Neither tire mounting nor balancing machines leave this mark, only installation on a car to the right torque spec. If your new wheels lack this impression, it should do the trick in getting Axis (or the credit card company, or the small-claims judge) to listen to you.
If the supposedly new wheels came with these impressions, they're actually used. If you can find somebody who would be in a position to confirm that you did not have the opportunity to install the wheels, you should talk to a lawyer, since a business passing off used items as new is a really big no-no. Not only does this sort of fraud need to be prosecuted, it could also net you a sizeable punitive award.
