Auto-down Passenger window....

Dont flame me, I have never taken it apart B4 but, would it be possible to just use a drivers window switch on the passenger side? On the drivers side remeove the 2nd switch and replace it with another "auto" switch...... If they are 2 seperate switches I would say it was a possibility ... Just a question cuz I hate tappin the drivers window and still havin to hold down the passenger when I go into CRUSIN MACKIN MODE

You gotta have a Clifford alarm to get the smartwindows module. I paid $200 for two windows, not including install. Add to that the price of the alarm.

It's called Smartwindows IV.

Where would be a good place to get it?

Also do ur alarms (Viper, Clifford) come with remote start?

How many channels do u have on ur remote?

Is it possible to get the pager system to go along with the alarm?

Yes I know with an alarm this feature is available I have it on my 03 expedition and it rolls up and down the windows , opens the roof, pops my rear hatch and starts the truck..... I was was curious about just swapping the switch cuz I dont want to install a full alarm into the car. Any Techs in here maybe? or anyother wacko's lioke me who have already tried it?

It may be more complicated, since it has the reverse feature if something gets in the way the window reverses. May involve more than the switch?
Plus you'd want 2, one for the driver control and one for the passenger control. I agree, tho, I want it on both windows.

----Just called the dealer serv dept. - the driver control is one piece unit with 2 switches, and Acura does not offer the switch separately. Said wiring would not work. Basically said no, not from Acura. Generally dealers will not do anything not intended or designed into the car.

Acura dealer won't do it for safety / liability reasons.

i just checked one out yesterday. it was a viper but i didnt get the model number. the paging system is dope. it has a half mile radius and shows on the keychain display whats going off on the car. if you're outside of half a mile and walk back in half a mile, the pager will go off and let you know whats up. its pretty dope. i just wish the auto window feature came with it. its still an accessory. but the dealer said that with higher costing alarms, they usually throw an accessory in for free. all in all it'll cost $550.
