i think the auto dim rear view mirror is not auto dimming anymore. The light is still lit up green but i do not feel that it is dimming. does anyone know if this is covered under the warrenty or any other ideas why it might not be working?

 

if your still under warranty it can be replaced.

 

and is a relativley common problem in the CL.

Do you notice that the blue-ish look of it is fading, or is there a ring around it.
Reason I ask, I, like others had the "halo effect" around mine, dealer replaced though.

 

If out of warranty,the manufacturer of the mirror has sent a free replacement if you contact the company according to some posters. Do a search!

 

i am pretty sure it is broken, and the bad part about it is it most likely has been broken for over 6 months and i am just taking notice.

 

If the car is under warranty, they will replace it. Are your windows tinted? They replaced the one in my car and it didn't really make a difference, because of the tinted windows.

 

i know the auto dim has worked before and i have always had tint, so i do not think it is the tint. I guess next time i go to the dealer i will have it fixed. It just sucks because i am at school and the dealer is 120 miles away.
