What is the fastest car you have ever raced in your Cobra? have you ever raced a GN or Regal T-Type?

Well, at the track I've "raced" all manner of the usual 9-10 sec bracket cars you normally see...

I have never raced a GN or T-type, but I have driven a legit GNX along with a T-type.

Fast cars I have tangled with on the street I can recall:

plenty of LS1 CamBirds (beat the stockers, lose to most with any significant mods)
All manner of Mustangs (win some, lose some)
Vettes, mostly C5s (hold my own up to "reasonable" street speeds)
Plenty of imports (Eclipses, Civics, Integras) - won most but have lost to plenty of fast ones.
My most memorable runs I posted here (Z8 and NSX both on Westheimer - more than held my own)

Other fast cars I have driven (these aren't my track times, just what the car could do):

98 Vortech Cobra (11.7@119) - VERY fast I will have that done to mine someday
94-95 AWD Laser (12.1-12.2@~112) - To be honest, this car "felt" faster than the Vobra
00 Stang GT w/100 shot (12.2@~113) - Was on ET Streets and that thing was AWESOME on the launch
98 Camaro w/cam, converter (12 flat) - Nice car, didn't make a full throttle go at this one
02 Z06 (12.1@116) - Greatest car I've ever driven

Teensy turbo??? The GNX is the limited edition, hopped up version of the Grand National.b

Ad for 1984 Grand National (don't buy the "200 horsepower" quote for a second)

A GNX

Turbo on a Grand National (the GNX looks appreciably the same) - NOT a teensy turbo

If I remember correctly, the GNX had a T-3 turbo which at the time was huge.

Pull T: down to the bone...I still have Blue Oval blood in my veins. I considered a 97' Cobra vert before I bought my GN. My 87' GN had "mods" but never took it to the track...the 200-R4s don't hold up too good.

I've driven my friend's GN and raced a GSXR750 rolling & beat it ...until he hit 6th gear. That was a RUSH!

When do you plan on the Vortech? I had an A-trim with GT40 upper/lower intake, exhaust, 3.73 and it SMOKED!

Well, it would be going in real soon, but my POS T45 is starting to balk. I can't complain though, 40k pretty hard miles and 90-100 passes, I need to shore that up with a T56 or a TKO first, then I am good to go. I have pretty much bulletproofed the drivetrain from the tranny back over the last 3-4 months, just need to upgrade that last weak link before putting that extra ~120 hp/90 tq to the wheels.

Excuses, excuses 2-3 months and it will be done.

Blue oval blood? That sounds painful.... One time I bled ford blue -- thought it was serious but turned out to only be some bad chinese.... whew - crisis averted.
