The track SUCKED!!!Only one lane was opened due to the fact that like only 20 cars showed up...and it was the shitty lane that wasn't even prepped right. Ga2000 didn't bring his car, just came along to wacth. I had a bunch of 14.6's and shit and one 14.4. All my 60ft's were like 2.3 and 2.25 and shit like that. Vinarnold has to learn how to drive...all he was getting was low 15's...his best was a 15.0. Then I ran his car and got a 14.9 and then Ga2000 ran his car and got a 14.8. His car boggs way too much off the line. It's almost like he needs to spin more to get better runs. Other than that I guess I had fun. It just sucks racing on a shitty track on one lane w/ perfect temps. Temp was like 45 degrees and low humidity. Ohh well

 

14.4 isn't too bad. what are your mods again?


how did you launch the TL?

 

I/H/E/P/t-stat. Just the crank pulley and everything else is Comptech. At the track there was a couple of 350z's. One w/ juice doing low 13's and the others were staying at mid to high 14's. Also a turbo rsx-s that couldn't go lower than a 14.0...dude was spinning until the mid of third gear.

we all had fun ....it was fun racing other peoples cars lol .... my bro went with his spec v his best was a 15.4 .... and ill pat myself on the back i got the best run out of the tl 14.8... his car is beautiful and so is ants... but of course i should of taken my car

I had to launch the tl like I was at a red light on the street....no power braking or gate shifting cause it didn't like it. Ga2000 and myself got the best runs by just smashing the pedal in D5. I didn't even have my left foot on the brake...like I said just like the street. Whenever we tried doin a 1200 launch or something it would just bog way down and get like a 15.5. So...he needs more power to help him launch. Or maybe lighter wheels!

next time iam leaving the tire pressure alone instead of droping it to 25psi maybe i would get a better launch and suggestions....?

Anyways...the weekend before Acura wars we are going again to the hamptons so Vin can practice more and I can test out my dr's. We will be posting an invite a couple of days in advance so look out for it.

I trapped at anywhere from 97-99 mph for all my runs. Not sure about vin though.

 

i might go this weekend again on sunday because, its gonna be between 55 and 60 degree's. gary tommy me and greg will go if its nice out and there "open", what time did u call them ant last sunday to make sure they where open?

vin was trapping between 92 and 94 mph all day..

 

On ur 14.8 I think he trapped at 95mph but not too sure. I called them at 12:15 or so...maybe 12:30. Maybe I'll go too

 

I am willing to bet that its the electronic throttle on the TL. My 03' Accord V6 has the same thing happen. If you try and break torque the motor it just bogs down. Merely hitting the gas without your foot on the break equates to better times.

I am glad to hear someone else say the car needed more tire-spin off the line because the majority of people think I am crazy when I say I want more tirespin.

tire spin actually gets the revs up...so u get ito the powerband quicker, u just dont wanna spin for 330 ft

 

hehe..Yeah thats it roadmaster...I told him he needs lighter wheels or skinnier tires, or more power but he needs to spin some more. I'm gonna ask my forman this week when I get a chance if there is a way to adjust the electronic throttle w/ a Honda scan-tool.

so when is this going down again?? I should be getting my car back from acura this week after they got the heads back from being re-machined and all 12 exhaust valves in the rear half of the engine were replaced.

 

yeah i cant wait to go again going to try to do better got a couple of differnt launches on my mind that i would like to try. i know the car is capable of better times its just up to me now. i was so pissed last week that i went off on my fiance for no reason....last time i do that hehehehe
