How do you like your Potenzas? I need to replace my oem and saw yours listed in your sig. How about the size -- alot of speedometer error?

My only experience with Potenzas were with the RE010s that came with my Type-R -- awesome tires. If these are comparable I know they'll be awesome

Thanks for any input.

Hey crippen. I've been referring everybody to these tires. They are awesome, have aggressive tread, super stiff sidewalls, haven't barely worn at all in 10k miles and are very reasonably priced. You won't notice spedometer error at all. I think it's only off by 1.6% which is less than 2mph at 60 theoretically. They are great in wet weather, but, predicatably they stink in snow as any Z-rated, fat, low profile tire would.

I would have no problem buying these again. They help the handling of the car so much--they are really sticky and they reduce body roll significantly due to the stiff sidewall. You will actually lose a few miles per tank in gas due to how sticky they are. When you compare the balloons that are on the car stock you'll laugh--I could barely carry the stock tires into my house because the sidewalls are so flimsy. The Potenzas are better in every way than the stock tires.

If you want no difference in tire size (which I don't think is a big deal) go for the 235's. I didn't want to push it and take the chance of having tires that looked too big for my car on, but others have done it and seem to like them fine.

Hope this helps.

My thanks JZ

Did you get these tires for a good price? I hope they're not too much more than the stock tires

I have 235s on 18" rims and I have to trouble with them...our car is NOT a small car, so they certainly don't look to big...

Cost more than stock? Hahahahahah!

I don't know how ordering stuff is in Canada, but I got mine in three days from tirerack.com and shipping only cost me 25$. The best part is that the tires were only 135$ each!! The stock tires are 155$ each.

JZ,
YOU DIDN'T MENTION "MY" MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: How is the NOISE level ? Please be honest, as I don't drive like a bat out of hell, so I don't need to know, how well you can corner and all that stuff ! How is the noise level with these tires, as I am passively looking as well.
Your honest comment is appreciated !

I don't really understand this noise level thing--it's not like these tires have 2 inches of tread or something like that on monster trucks.

There is no difference in noise at all. The ride is a bit harsher and the handling is better. But difference in noise level--man, unless you got supersonic dog-style hearing (in which case my opinion shouldn't be considered), there is no difference.
