I was at Pep Boys yesterday and picked up a couple of quarts of Mobil 0w-20 and the clerk said there was a special on Mobil 1.

If you buy the Pep Boys calendar for a $1, it's buy 3 qrts and get 3 free! They were out of calendars, so I said no problem, just charge me for one and gemme the deal.

That's about $2.67 a qrt . . . a great price!

Wow ... great price for Mobil1.

However, down in Texas ... don't you want a thicker oil than OEM spec 5W-20? Mobil1 doesn't make that viscosity (last time I checked, at least) but most go to 5W-30 ... or even 10W-30.

I wonder if 0W-20 would work for a Canadian winter???

I think the deal is good on all Mobil 1 weights.

I use 0w-20 in the winter. In the summer I mix 0w-20 with 5w-30.

By the way, the 0w-20 bottle says recommended by Ford and Honda.

i think that store is full of shit. i've gotten two free items already and they were all honored without any question. i read somewhere that some stores have implemented a "buy one get one free" policy with the coupon. it could be argued though since any restrictions should be printed on the coupon.

false advertising then. They misprint that's their bad. They tried to pull some shit like that w/ NXT Tech Wax, they listed it at 5.99 when it should of been 14.99. I would of bought the store out but they only had two bottles.
