Atlanta people.....tint!
hey, i checked the archives but couldn't really find threads that relate to atlanta tint shops. where did you ATL people get your car tinted? any close ones near decatur or I-85?

Got my TL-S tinted by Sunshades in Alpharetta. Used 35% Llumar Stealth tint. Really looks good on a black car. Also keeps the car much cooler. Cost around $230.

Hey man I'm getting my windows tinted tomorrow (friday) at some place off of memorial drive...It cost my friend $125 and they did a great job...i'm getting 5% all around...theres also another place off of alpharetta hwy that I was going to go to...but it was a bit more money...

I got mine done at SunShades in Alpharetta for $215 with the 35% llumar stealth tint. He did a good job, did the back in one piece and covered the brake lamp since I have a spoiler and he also tinted all the way up on the side windows and didn't leave a gap like some places do.

If you want it done right do not look for shady places. I had mine done at some shady shack on moreland past I20, in the parking lot of a texaco they had a tinting shack set up. Cost me 130, but they did not do a good job. Both my doors are peeling slightly, will need to get it redone soon.

I got mine done at Custom Sun Control. Formula One tint for 260. This is a very professional place and they did a great job. I own my car, so I don't mind spending the extra cash for piece of mind. I would stay away from those "shady" places...

hey, so i finally got mine done at Allstate because they were much closer at the other places. they did a great job.....20% on black cl-s.

Awesome!!! Check out all these ATL folks!!! We need to try and have a mini meet or something. Do any of you go to any tracks? I see people talking on the board all the time about running but I don't know of any places to go here aroud town?? I've never done it before, but I would like to.

There is an 1/8 in Dallas and a 1/4 in Commerce. Me and some friends are planning on going up to Commerce sometime. I will let you know when we do to see if you are interested in meeting up.

Hey guys, I just got the tint on my CL redone to go darker. I actually got it done at Allstate in Tucker and have been having a problem. On my front two windows the film has slight ripples in it so that at night all the lights have a slight halo around them. I have had the windows redone 3 times now and this time it is not as noticable, but it is still there and is annoying. Anyone have any suggestions what might be causing this?

Clean the windows before hand extremely well. Also, does your rain have acid rain on it? Mine's the same way, it's due to the acid rain spots.

Its not really spots, more like tiny ripples across the entire window. Anything you recommend to clean it, because I really don't want to have to take it to them anymore after the 4th time.
And commerce opens march 4th with hayes test and tune.

theres another solarworks off satelite in gwinnett.. same company/guy.. not sure if its still there but i got mine done there about 2 yrs ago.. 18% Formula One Metallic... very professional.. tints all the way to the top of window /w no gap, covered third brake light... $200..well worth the price
