Atlanta Dyno

As previously posted, I'm going to the dyno on Saturday morning. If anyone else in the Atlanta area like to join we could make a small group event. It is at Engineered Performance in Smyrna:

Even if you are stock it would be great to have people there. I would even like to put my DIY RES on a stock vehicle.

I know those Lexus trolls will never show up...

I see that our Atlanta bretheren are a bit shy to see what their cars can do...

Anyway, to those other makes, my Father-in-law might be bringing his SC430 to be strapped down, any other Lexus owners care to see what they pull down??

I had big plans to come on down but my significant other says that I have a wedding that I HAVE to go to. What a crock. I've also got to help a buddy go buy his 1st computer.

My '01 CL-S is completely stock so it would have been interesting.

If you don't mind me asking scalbert, did you trade in your '01 CLS for the '03 or sell it then buy the new one? Which dealer did you go through here in town. I kind of want the 6 speed but Ed voyles isn't giving me a good vibe. Thanks for the info. Sorry I can't make it up there saturday

I did and my sincere condolences go out to you. That is a terrible thing to go through; hopefully something good, or at least acceptable, will come out of it.

It just amazes me how nature can turn so fierce so quickly. South FL certainly is flat enough to where this type of event can happen in a moment with enough rain.

I hope the best for you!!!

I understand, there are certainly more important things to do. But I sure would have liked to see that Stingray!!!

I attempted to sell the '01 CL-S, but after several months in the Auto-Trader with little to no real responses I traded. I bought both cars through Nalley Acura on 41 across from Dobbins. When I bought my car they had, and for a couple of weeks, two Silver non-Nav 6-Speeds and one Black Nav 6-Speed. They were also fairly decent about the trade considering it was Sundance Gold which is not a popular color around here.

If you would like, we could meet up and you could take my car for a long ride. That way you could get a good feel for what the 6-Speed is like. Albeit, mine won't be stock... But I'm not too far away, up 575 in the Towne Lake area.

amazingly in the time it took to walk to my friends house one block away talk to him for 5 minutes and walk back....all the water was gone...and an hour later you could barley tell it had rained...

scalbert,

Are you planning to do runs both WITH and WITHOUT the “RES” mounted on there so we can see the effect it has on a car with Headers ???

typeR is correct.

I have the dyno for at least four pulls. Two with the RES and two without. I know the torque curves will be different, but how much and how they are shaped is what I am truely interested in.
