ARRRGG....Coolant leaking!!
Remember my thread about the dealership insisting that they will install and remove my CAI to check for that whining noise which everyone knew was their F**#D up tranny? http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=57304
Well, this morning I notice a little puddle of fluid on my driveway... I move the car and it is Green liquid...in other words, coolant... in a HUGE Puddle!! I just got back in from investigating and it turns out those 16 year-old mechanics at my dealer cramped one of the coolant pipes that go to the CAI and cracked it... now coolant is leaking all over the place... I used a bit of tape to slow it down, but those fokkers are really getting it on Monday!
Their Answer to my request to have a Sr. Mechanic working on my car was that all their technicians are the same!! They all pass the same exams.. I said "Does that mean all doctors are the same??"
I am soooo pissed.... F'N idiots.. I am now OFFFICIALLY SAYING:
This is my LAST ACURA or HONDA PRODUCT!! It is OVER!

Why don't you just try a different dealership????? It's not Acura's fault that you had some punk azz's working on your car. I know you are upset, but maybe a new service department with some quality peeps and good customer service is all you need!!! It might be worth it to drive an hour or two to get better service!!!

this isnt Acura's fault... its a shitty mechanics fault. It may not even be the dealers fault besides hiring a moron.
Every car manufacturer has shitty dealerships and shitty mechanics.
Trust me, I have friends that work in service for Jaguar, BMW, Benz, and Honda dealers. and I wouldnt let any of them touch my car let alone my 100k mercedes

I'm not even talking about service quality in terms of this being my last Acura ...I am basing this on:
30K Car, 15 months old..
2 Transmission replacements
2 Rotor resurfaces and one rotor replacement
1 Airbag replaced
1 Carpet Replaced
1 PCV Valve/Computer update
1 Fuel Injector replaclemt
is that normal??

I will you tell you one sad possiblity -- if that Computer was screwed-up from the "earliest" days *and* was messing the clutch pack engagment timing up, that alone could account for a couple of burnt/busted trannies. Now, let some idiots install that sucker *and* keep a rabbit's foot handy in the glove box
The rotors -- well, who knows (another knock-on-wood issue)
[Start of outer limits/twig light zone rap]
I also have this "unorthodox" theory about how certain people (friends, relatives, mechanics, service people, name your grouping) have certain knacks for "hexing"/”messing-up” a car... I know this about as unscientific and silly as one can get, but how many times have you had someone drive your car and had if feel like it had been trashed (the converse is also true, that some people can make the car feel like it got a tune up) [end of outer limits rap]
So, I'm one of these people that believe a bad service center can have a profound impact on screwing up a perfectly good car (you would be surprised what some maintenance adjustments can lead to)...
The fact that "your" guys cracked your coolant pipe should at least send you heading for another dealer (forgive me if you don't have an alternative one)...
(They may also have a voodoo doll of your car in the back…)
