Arrgghhhh!!!

I am so pissed!!!

Some pinhead in a junker Ford Escort turns left in front of me - I hit him at about 10-15 mph in my three month old 3500 miile CL-S... (about $1000 damage)

He says... "I am sorry, it's all my fault - I'm having a bad day...."

We exchange information, and about two days later I find that he has reported to his insurance agent that it was MY fault - that I turned into HIM...... MotherF***er!!!

I send this jerk a letter saying I'm looking for witnesses, expect to find some and that he should "reconsider" his insurance report... Worst case is that I 'll take his sorry ass to small claims court.

He leaves a message on my answering machine to stop harassing him, and that he's going to get me, that I'm "going down"....

What I want to do is pull this MFers head off and shove it up his ass, but more importantly I want HIM to pay to fix my car, the cock****er. :swear2: :swear2: :swear2:

Thoughts or Ideas??

Only pics I have are of my car showing his purple paint smeared on the front bumper, center to the right...

Lawyer may be an option.. Will put an instant camera in the car, tho, just in case I need one in the future....

Thanks -

Jim

This is why you never leave the scene with a cop, so there is a police report. end of story.

Talk to your insurance agent. They can take a look at the damage and do a re-construction of the accident. They should be able to tell what happened without any real problems. A friend of mine is a cop who specializes in accident re-construction. Just by his statement and yours, along with the damage on each car, they should be able to tell what happened. Anyway, that's your insurance agents job!

The only problem is that most cops won’t come out unless there is an ambulance or tow truck required.
I got hit in my Legend down in Ocean City Md. a few years ago and 911 wouldn’t send a cop out.
So I told them I was holding up a 3-lane highway and hung up on them.
They called back but I didn’t answer the phone.
When the cop DID finally get there he chewed me out royally for doing that.
The chick that hit me didn’t have her license and it wasn’t her car so I refused to move my car or allow her to get back into hers until the cops got there.
In the end the cop apologized and said he understood why I did that.

PD doesn't respond for minor property damage accidents - only if its major or if there is injury...

In NJ you dont have to report an accident if the cop thinks that the damages are less then 500$. Anything over and you must report it.

My town they will def. come out...its ridiculous for them not to unless its realy minor. Def. should have called the cops and it would have stoped most of this trouble you now have to deal with...good luck anyway

Sorry about the accident.

We have 3 accidents in 3 days. What's going on? Is our board that big?

I was thinking the same thing ... is there a full moon or something? I've also noticed a larger number of cops on patrol. In fact, there's a guy up the street from me who always speeds through my neighborhood, he got nailed in front of his house yesterday with a speeding ticket (bad karma will catch up to you). OK, I don't know what that has to do with more accidents but something is going on.

I always would call 911 from my cell phone even if its a minor collision and the guilty person beggs me on his/her knees not to call cops. Just call 911, let them do a police report, even if you got a scratch. and if the guy drives away saying he has no time for cops, just copy his license plate and report as hit and run and still wait for cops. dialing 911 should be done regardless.

I've asked this question directly to a couple LAPD officers. Essentially, in Los Angeles, unless there's a death, major injury, or major property damage, the LAPD won't roll. They have more important things to do...

Yeah i know, one reason i live in glendale. better pd.

but more important things to do is a bullshit excuse for we are lazy and dont want to deal with shit. the saying goes true in la, there is never a cop when you need one.
