Anyone use a roof rack on your CL?

Anyone use a roof rack on your CL?
Just wondering if anyone here has ever put one on their CL? I wanted to know how it fit and whether or not the clips scratched or may have dented the silver trim up near the roof (where the door closes). I want to order a Thule rack for my bikes since it's a pain in the rear to always take it apart to stuff it into the trunk.

I have a Yakima as well (for snowboards). No scratches. At 60+ mph, I do get a little bit of wind noise because the rack clips lift up the weatherstripping a little.

If you have a wider powder board, then probably not... For most standard boards, and especially free-mountain and speed boards, it should work, if you line it up perfectly with the diagonal of the hole.
I stuck my wide-ish board through there a couple times, and in fact I fit two boards in there once (back-to-back), BUT i wound up slicing through the rubber rectangle that runs around the outside of the hole. Now, it has two diagonal cuts in it where the board went, and the metal board edges scratched that whole area up a bit....
Moral of the story is: You can do it, if you're not too uppity about the ensuing scratches and such.

Anyone have pics of their car with the rack on and maybe a zoomed in pic of where the clips hook onto the car?
Did anyone with the Yakima use the stretch kit? Or is it okay without one if using for bikes only?
Anyone use Thule?

Once you set up a Yakima or Thule, you can eaisly remove/install the entire rack in just a couple of min. I wouldn't leave it on all the time as the fairing will eventually wear the paint away, and the clips will mess up your door molding

I don't plan on keeping the rack on...only when I need to use it. I had one on my '98 GSR. I guess I was more curious if anyone used a Thule rack on the current generation CL and whether or not it was a problem to not have the short roof adapter. Thule keeps claiming I need it cause it's in their fit guide (so much for technical support from them), but since Yakima doesn't require it (says so in their fit guide), I would guess that Thule doesn't really need it either. My best bet is that I could reuse the load bars and locks and fairing from my GSR's rack and put it on the CL.
