yes the whole top of the dash comes out, 2 or 3 screws above the speedo. then you have to reach behind and unplug the sunroof, cruise/VSA, reset for odometer, clock ,hazards, climate control,I think im forgeting one other plug then it comes out

Take off the 2 screws on the ceiling of the trim near the gauges. Then carefully pry off the trim with a screwdriver with tape on the tip. Work around the trim a few inches at a time to pry it off. Be careful the wire harness is very short.

CL-S 6Speed is rarely in
Yep. Fairly simple just take your time.
I have taken this all apart several times during the navi conversion and I found this to be the best way.
-Open drivers door
-Remove fuse panel cover
-One screw holds side panel on -- remove screw, the rest is held on be clips
-CAREFULLY pull the kick panel under the wheel off, the dimmer switch is still attached
-Reach under left side of steering wheel and disconnect switches.
-Remove two screws above steering wheel in dash bezel
-Lower tilt on steering wheel all the way down, put seat back a little so you don't crush yourself
-Starting on left side of dash bezel, pull the bezel out toward you. I used the empty switch pockets, but be careful.
-Working towards the right, pull the bezel towards you undoing all clips
-The hazard, trip buttons, and clock are all still connected
-After that you kinda have to slowly roated the bezel out to not scratch anything
-Two phillips screws hold the clock in
Reverse Install
Very bored today in case you couldn't tell. Work called off today due to lots of rain...
Good Luck!

Before disassembling anything just hit with the side of your fist the left side of the clock, close to the adjustment (Hour, Minutes) buttons. Mine had not lit for almost 5 years and that did the trick.
