Anyone with Magnaflow? All input welcome

I'm looking into getting an exhaust for my car. I had Comptechs before but sold them and can't justify $600 for 2 mufflers again. That's why I'm going the universal/custom route.

Anyone with Magnaflow:

1) please tell me which model you got
2) How do they fit our exhaust cut-out of our bumper?
3) How's the build quality?
4) How's the sound?
5) Please post pics of your exhaust

Also, how much did you pay for the mufflers? Where's the best and cheapest place to get them?

Thanks in advance!

Although I have an Altima, the muffler is universal. I just put together a custom CB system including got the Magnaflow 14829s with 14" magnaflow custom resonator. I paid about $330 with shipping for both mufflers and resonator. I got mine from http://www.southwestautoworks.com (billed as a nissan site, but they sell plenty of other stuff as well, not to mention the fact that the muffler is universal).

The build quality of the mufflers is excellent, and the sound isn't loud at all. In fact, a CL owner/buddy indicated that it didn't sound much louder than his stock exhaust; just has an aggressive tone about it.

When you see the pictures, I elected to not have my tips stick out at all; that's purely an install decision.

Thanks bro. I did notice gains, but I did a custom CB which really helps the Altimas a lot. Nissan goes out of their way to gimp them from the factory so as not to infringe upon the territory of their bigger bretheren (the intake is extremely restrictive, the stock exhaust has a huge crimp in it). Most people dyno about a 19hp gain avg for intake and exhaust alone, but of course that's fairly dependent on which ones you choose, etc.

wow, I guess that's the cool part of having basically the same VQ as the Z. You know it's capable of a lot more power.

Thanks for the input.

1killercls: Which model are you using? How does the sound compare to Comptech?

Anyone else?

Do you have any other pics of the exhaust? Like side view and rear view but farther away?

Thanks

I have the magnaflow Stainless Steel Mirror Finish Street Series model # 14829

My setup is a 2.25 Catback pipe with a 2ft. magnaflow resonator and a magnaflow 2.25 smooth bend y pipe.

Here is a video clip of the exhaust. They are deeper now, that was when they were a day old and not broken in yet.
