Anyone raced a R32 with a Type-s 6spds???

I have a dude thats talking so much junk so i really want to run him..

 

I think it will be a close race if you're both stock. If you can out-drive him you should win. You're a bit heavier than he is. And his car is supposed to do a 1/4 mile in about 14.1 seconds. You're car is supposed to be slower than that.

 

Hold on he is 3.2 and AWD and still i am heavier than him ??

 

Car and Driver has it at about 3400 lbs. I have an I35. 4 doors, 3.5L and I'm about 300-400 lbs lighter than the CL. They are heavy cars.

 

Damn i swear you make me go and buy a Carbon fiber hood, trunk and take the seats out..

 

That helps. But I say fuck that and just go with a supercharger and some headers.

I have raced a Golf GTI and lost dunno if modded that was when all I had was intake and was not even droped. I heard those R32 are quick I personally never ran against one but I would say he might beat you considering what mods do you have and are you 6speed??

 

I heard stock for stock we take them.

Anyways.... Stock for stock I'd say its a drivers race, But an R32 chipped with i/h/e will run our shit even if we had i/h/e, and maybe some other minor bolt-ons.

Cuz i know mostly of em here cuz i used to be in VW scene.. All i know the MK5's with a Chip will leave us like there is no tomorow..

R32?? I heard that they get STI's with no boost.. I hope i do get him with my CL-S 6SPDS..

are you joking and saying they can only get an sti if its running no boost? or are you saying without boost they can take an sti? the latter is not going to happen. on average an sti can run mid to low 13s in the 1/4 bone stock. but thats not considering the driver aspect. im lost here...

 

Yeah there's no way a R32's taking an STi out unless the driver of the STi has no idea what they're doing. Don't get me wrong, the R32's a really fast car, but it's not touching an STi or an Evo with a decent driver.

I like R's but they are heavy also cuz they got 3.2l and AWD system so thats why i am wondering..

 

My car seems to be a target for VW owners. These guys around Central Jersey are relentless. Not once have I driven by a Modded GTI or R32 that they just let me cruise by. Just the other day I'm driving on 78 doing 70ish and this R32 goes flying. I decide why the hell not Pass him probably doing somewhere in the 100's slow down so we can't start from a roll and the idiot does the ricer flyby. Eventually he realizes I'm not gunning after him and he slows down and gets next to my car. He gives me 3 honks I give him 5 buslengths. Then he asks what kinda shot I had. Silly VW boys =/.
