Why take them off. If you survey the general population, >95% of people would recognize the trade name bose as "great speakers" or at least the only ones they have heard of if you gave them a list.

The other 5 % of us know that is embarassing owning bose since the saying was and always will be, when I started in audio in the late 1970's:

"NO HIGHS>>>>NO LOWS>>>>>

MUST BE BOSE!

Which means douche bags who like to break into cars will recgonize that you have a better speaker than the Ford Taurus parked next to you and break out your window to steal 'em.

I've been meaning to remove the "Bose" for a while.

I'm not a Bose fan but the Bose system I had in my Legend had lots of lows, probably too much, but the CLS Bose blose. I guess it's better than a lot of stock systems, but in a $30k car it's poor.
Hopefully a future mod for me...yea I'll remove the logos...and the speakers too.

It's interesting that you notice that too. My Legend's bose system was MUCH better than the bose system we have in the CL. I remember one time some kid actually thought I had a woofer in my truck cuz of the lows the Legend bose put out. This system is definetly lacking, but having a navi makes it hard to replace them.

I definitely think the CLS Bose is lacking, but I guess it depends on what kind of system you are coming from. It's an upgrade from some cars I guess. I actually thought my first CLS radio improved in sound after it was used for awhile. I haven't noticed any improvements in my current CLS. There's not much range in it that I'm used to with CDs. and no I'm not a rapee either.

i listen to everything (ie rap rock etc ) and rock songs will sound better with after market speakers just cause they can hit tiighter notes like the ones that ROCK songs have rap songs have alot of beat and bass in them so any system will sound ok but i do agree BOSE SUCKS

I have to say, i've got bose speakers in the house, connected to a Denon Hifi, and they sound great.
As for in the CL, i'm dissapointed to say the least. Why is it the sound does not sound great in the CL, is it the AMP or something else ?

The 4 door Impala I just rented in NY has a kicking system for stock. The bass was pounding! It's a shame

The TL system sounds better too. That's cuase it has a sub. Small, but still sounds tons better.

Sad thing is that the Mach system in my Taurus had more bass and better highs than the Blose in my $31k Accord.
