Anyone know how this 6-spd Auto the new 745iL works?

am not sure...i sat in it last weekend at naias and saw the shift lever (where out windshield wiper lever is...is silver and visible behind the wheel in the pic) the steering wheel is full of controls and i think the turn signals are two small chrome buttons on the steering wheel.
theres a pop-out phone pad in the dash, the navi/i-Drive screen is awesome, and theres a 1 disc cd player next to the 6 disc changer slot.
the i-Drive system is pretty amazing...the control wheel gives force feedback when you're at the end of on-screen menus, etc.
picture shows pretty much all of this, 'cept the dude has his damn hand on the i-Drive...

I believe that it is just a standard auto with an overdrive 6th. The 6th gear has a 0.69 ratio.
I would not be suprised it it was faster than 5.9 to 60, BMW tends to be conservative
oh, it is no longer the 745iL, but Li :P

The 760 is incredible. It was road tested by a few magazines, and they all said that they just sat in it for an hour while the BMW tech gave them a walk-through of all the features. I wish I had that kinda scratch.
One of these days, I'm gonna dress up like Count Homer (tuxedo, monocle, top hat) and go into our BMW dealer, pretending like I could afford it. "What is the advantage of this automobile, over say, a train? Which I could also afford."
Edit: To answer your question, no. I have no idea how anything works in that car. =/
