In the pic you can see that i have this dash trim kit that a previous owner installed. I'm sure it was silver before but it has yellowed over time. Has anybody removed something like this and if so, was there alot of sticky crap left over? How do you get rid of it? Thanx for the help!

i obviously don't know how to post pics. Well, the trim kit is this multi piece dash overlay (like the kind you'd get off ebay) and what i'm worried about is residue from the adhesive.

Figured it out. all that yellow is the dash kit. If anyone has taken that off please tell me how you did it and what you did to clean up the residue.

my friend had the exact same dash kit color and all in his car when he bought it. All I say is good luck. We tried everying and in the end the glue residue won. He ended up buying all new pieces throught the black market here.

that sucks,,, good luck with it, but prepare yourself to buy new peices...
I would do it the same way the emblems are removed --- blow dryer and fishing line/dental floss, some goo gone for whatever is left...

I've lived with it for about 6 months now, and it gets uglier every time i see it. Not sure if i can live with a glue caked dash either, but i don't have the cash to drop on new dash pieces. I'm thinking it might have to stay on, at least till i can buy the parts.
