Just wondering, kinda cool thing I have stock...not really necessary if you just check your tires normally.

cool idea but...
That would only be cool if you could adjust pressure on the fly as well. Maybe change with a Sport vs. Cruise mode... 5psi difference?

I put some of these TireSignal thingy-ma-jiggers on my car.
Sometimes it was hard to tell when one of my tires was low since the sidewalls are so stiff.
They work good and are the next best thing to one of those monitoring systems... especially since they were $10.

I've been thinking/researching this more b/c I really think would make a car much safer to drive, and perhaps keep me from damaging one of my rims when I hit an unexpected pothole when the tire pressure is down.
It looks like there are 2 main manufacturers of aftermarket kits. One is called Tire Sentry and the other is Smartire.
Here's a pic of the Smartire system. It seems better than the other one.
It looks like it can be bought for under $260, and that's including the remote display that is small and provides the most information.
The Smartire system provides not only PSI readings, but tire temperature and temperature adjusted PSI.
I'm really thinking about getting this.
