i have an 01 auto clp with 36,000. sometimes when i'm driving from a complete stop my tranny shifts up to 2. then all of a sudden it shifts down to 1 and back to two making the tires screech etc. my foot doesn't hit the gas any more its constant. another tranny going bad? misfire or something? clogged injector? bad spark plugs? also, it happens more often in SS mode or when turning. kind of dangerous to me. also, sometimes when driving it feels like my tranny wants to shift but it doesn't until way later when going at city speeds. around 30 usually. sometimes i'd have to give it a bit more gas to jump into that next gear then i let the gas go back to normal.. another symtom of a tranny going bad? thanks. i've searched and couldn't find anything.. if this gets flamed, thats cool. let me know guys!

 

Yes, it's tranny....and either someone has messed with your signature, or you're really proud.

its okay donald, don't be too worry. I was worry when i got my car too because i fear to spend $ on tranny. However i no longer feel that drag in 2nd gear anymore. If you want to prolong ur tranny, do ATF change more often. Worse case senario is you will be stuck in 2nd gear while driving to the shop or the acura dealer. In fact you are still under warranty, no need to worry just bring it to the dealer and you get a week of TSX for fun.
