Hey gang,

After checking that the actuator works properly, I closed the hood, and to my surprise, I noticed that the hood does not close completely tight.

Here's what I mean: when the hood is closed, if I put my finger in the grille, just above the Acura logo, and try to lift the hood, I can feel it move slightly.

I'm wondering if this could be causing some "deep" souding rattles that I can hear when going over bumps at low speed, and that don't seem to come from the console or interior.

Anyone else has this problem?

My problem with the hood is that I don't have to lift it to fix it every other day. I should have bought a Mustang. That way I would be ifxing it every week and learning about cars. Nah... dumb idea.

no "phat" chics either.

 

For the record, the fix is very easy. Simply adjust the large hood stops. You can turn them and their height will vary. One was not high enough on one corner causing the hood to move when closed and rattle...

... and with the moon roof TSB taken care of, all the rattles are now gone
