Anyone experiencing this acceleration lag?
When I step on the gas while rolling at about any speed, in d5 or ss, I get a half second or so lag before the car takes off. Im sure it is just the auto tranny trying to find the right gear, but whatever it is it bugs me. You guys all get the same thing or do I have tranny problems. Car takes off immediately from a dead stop. Just being anal and missing my manual tranny probably...

I get that in D5/4/3 -- but not in SS -- if I drop into 3rd or 2nd and punch the gas -- I get an immediate response in my TL-S --> if this is something that's different from when your car was brand new -- I'd take it in. Tranny problems are like leaving wounds untreated -- get it fixed asap and you won't have future problems (hopefully).

That's normal for autos...just use the sport shift...that's why it's there.

Use the D1, D2, D3 trick for instantaneous, use the SS if you don't need the quickness and want to potentially hit the rev limiter.

But SS doesn't do anything about the torque converter which is my biggest gripe against autos. It seems to lock and unlock at will especially under light acceleration when I'm trying to save gas. If you pound the gas its fine. Otherwise its lock, unlock, lock, unlock,..... GRRRRRRRR! I want a manual!
