Hi internet friends I am a proud owner of a 01 CLS, and was wandering if anyone has heard of this strange noise I think I am hearing? I dont think I am goin crazy because I keep hearing this humming, almost sounds like a cell phone vibrating in the vehicle when it is parked?? I think it is the security system. Other people I hang with also said they also hear it, so I dont think I am goin crazy. Anyone heard this noise?

 

its your short ram intake or your resonator for your stock intake has come loose

 

ABS pump?

 

 

Its not my SRI I know that for a fact, it sounds electrical to me, I know what the noise of the ABS engaging sounds like, I asked the Acura service tech. Just was wanderin what the hell that noise is!!

 

I hear a 'cell phone vibration' kinda noise for a second or two, but only after the first shift of the car from park into drive after it has been started up. It happens as I'm taking off...weird.

 

^^i think your talking about the ABS engaging...it happens twice both b/w certain mph....

 

Interesting, I figured it was normal since it always happens at the same time.

Its not the ABS I know that, I have heard the ABS when I put the car in D or R it makes that two humming noise. I am not talking about that, this noise is when I park the car and take the key out , even when I dont even engage the security system it still makes this noise. My family has 4-5 other vehicles in the drive when I am at the house and I know for a fact it is the Acura that is making that mysterious noise, sometimes you have to be in a quiet place to hear this, so that might be the reason why nobody knows what it is , but as I said my friends have also heard this noise. You just have to step out of the car and close the door and you might catch it talkin to you. Weird.

 

Sounds like a cow mooing in the distance every couple of minutes? Something in the emissions controls in the gas tank. Normal.

 

Could be a resonance of heat from teh exhaust or heat shields since you stat its with teh car off, or like tosh said something in the Evap system purging

not crazy i have it to. Its insane. It sounds like a cell phone vibrate for 2 seconds and sounds like its coming from under the middle of the car like under the console.?????
